Jordon and Patricia's Extreme Hike For A Cure

Hello and welcome to Jordon and Patricia's 2012 Extreme Hike For A Cure Website!  In just one amazing day we will hike a 26 mile stretch in the Berkshire Hills in Western Massachusetts.  Through our participation in this program, we will most certainly experience adventure, accomplish person goals, make new friends, and give hope to the 30,000 brave young people battling cystic fibrosis.  We are very excited!  On this site, we will post updated on our training as well as post pictures and stories on our inspiration- John Lewis Harvey!

Cystic fibrosis is a devasting genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system.  More than 10 million Americans are symptom-less carriers of the defective gene.  Advances continue to be made in finding a cure, but your help is needed to help keep up the momentum!  To learn more about CF, please visit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's website at www.cff.org.

We are taking on this extreme endeavor in order to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. Many children and adults with CF will not have the opportunity to take on a mountain or experience the wilderness as we have without real progress toward a cure. We are doing this to raise money so that one day children and young adults with CF will be able to live a normal, healthy life. It provides us with great strength and courage to know that our actions are contributing to such a worthy cause.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is on the verge of incredible scientific breakthroughs which could actually be ‘the cure’ but they cannot do it without vital funding. We hope that you will make a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on our behalf.

We are always so taken aback by the outpouring of love and generosity while fundraising, and we are so excited for this year's event! Please be assured that your generous gift will be used efficiently and effectively—as nearly 90 percent of every dollar of revenue raised by the Foundation is available for investment in vital CF programs to support research, care, and education.
